Hurricane Debby Relief

Hurricane Debby hit Florida's Big Bend as a Category 1 storm, bringing 75 mph winds and heavy rain. The storm continues to wreak havoc across the southeastern U.S., as three states have declared a state of emergency. Currently, 300,000 people are without electricity, and four fatalities have been reported. Despite the high wind speeds, Debby is moving slowly at just 2.5 miles per hour, leading to significant rainfall and flash flood warnings throughout the region. Both Georgia and South Carolina are bracing for unprecedented rainfall and severe flooding. This situation is reminiscent of Hurricane Harvey, which also lingered over areas and caused up to 30 inches of rain in some places. These slow-moving storms can cause extensive damage, and it's crucial to support community recovery efforts as soon as we can.
